Founded in 1978 by Mr. Ashok (Ash) Israni, Pacifica is headquartered in San Diego, California and is comprised of over 100 different entities. Most of Pacifica’s assets are owned individually by single-purpose companies. Pacifica is especially active in the apartment and condo markets. In addition, the company is actively pursuing development of new hotel properties across the nation.
In 2003, Pacifica was ranked the number two home builder in San Diego as reported by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine. Maintaining that position through 2004, Pacifica rose to the number one builder in the first quarter of 2005. Pacifica has continued as the leading builder for both the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2005.
